Lior Ovadia
Research Student - Post Quantum Cryptography
Lior Ovadia is a Master’s student in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Tel Aviv University, working under the supervision of Prof. Meir Ariel at the Space Engineering Center. His research focuses on implementing a novel post-quantum encryption algorithm—developed and patented by Prof. Ariel—known as High-Memory Masked Convolutional Codes (MCC), and on developing a simulator to evaluate various parameters of this innovative cryptographic method.
Lior holds dual Bachelor’s degrees from Tel Aviv University: one in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (with a specialization in Electro-optics and Image Processing) and another in Physics. He is currently employed as a Systems and Hardware Development Engineer in the Flight Test Directorate at Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), where he specializes in advanced telemetry and instrumentation systems for flight testing. Additionally, he serves as a teaching assistant for the Embedded Digital Systems Workshop in the Science for High-Tech program at Tel Aviv University. Previously, Lior taught foundational courses in Electrical Engineering and Digital Control using Arduino microcontrollers at ORT Colleges in Rehovot and Singalovski.
In his free time, Lior enjoys cooking, teaching, continuous learning, and exploring his interests in space technologies and systems.
