We are thrilled to invite you to the launch event of TEVEL—a groundbreaking educational initiative brought to life by the Israel Space Agency and Tel Aviv University. This pioneering scientific program offers high school students a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to immerse themselves in the exciting world of space engineering by designing, building, and launching nano-satellites.

About TEVEL:
TEVEL is more than just a project—it’s an adventure in scientific discovery and innovation. Over the course of the program, students will:

  • Design and Build: Collaborate in teams from 9 municipalities—including Sha’ar HaNegev, Ma'ale Adumim, Givat Shmuel, Tayibe, Kfar Kara, Ein Mahil, Yarka, Yerucham, and Herzliya—to construct 1U CubeSat-type satellites in school clean rooms.
  • Learn by Doing: Gain hands-on experience as they navigate every stage of satellite development—from initial design and defining scientific missions to on-board software development and comprehensive launch-readiness testing.
  • Operate in Space: After the satellites launch with SpaceX in December 2024, the teams will manage communication and satellite operations from the ground control station at Tel Aviv University.

The Scientific Missions:
Each of the 9 CubeSats will carry two innovative payloads:

  • Radiation Measurements in Space: Developed by the Space department at Soreq Nuclear Research Center, this payload will measure the flux of high-energy particles and cosmic rays from the Sun, monitor single-event upsets, latch-ups, and assess total ionized dose levels.
  • Amateur Radio Communication: Featuring a transponder for ham-radio communication, these satellites will bridge space and Earth, bringing scientific data and communication opportunities to the community.

Why Attend?

  • Experience Innovation: Be among the first to witness how our future scientists and engineers are taking on real-world space challenges.
  • Engage and Learn: Hear from the program’s mentors, educators, and student participants about the curriculum’s blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience.
  • Celebrate Collaboration: Discover how nine diverse communities are uniting to explore the final frontier through teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving.

Mark your calendars and join us as we celebrate the beginning of this exciting journey into space exploration and innovation. Whether you’re an educator, a student, a space enthusiast, or simply curious about the future of science and technology, there’s something inspiring for everyone at the TEVEL launch event.

RSVP today and be a part of this stellar adventure!
